IBW is not a membership organization, but we regularly receive requests asking how supporters can be helpful. At State of the Black World Conference V, there were several Participants who expressed a desire to volunteer to assist IBW to convene events like State of the Black World Conferences and aspects of our programmatic work. We are establishing Friends of IBW to respond to the increasing interest of supporters to be helpful in advancing IBW’s Mission and achieving our organizational goal of “promoting a culture of collaboration to heal and empower Black families, communities and nations.”
As a Friend of IBW, you will receive periodic special messages from the President, Chairman of the Board and staff sharing information on the status of our work and future programming. You will have an opportunity for input by offering suggestions and recommendations on how IBW can more effectively advance its programmatic work. There will also be special benefits for Friends of IBW, such as discounts for IBW conference registration, reserved seating at events and other special expressions of appreciation.
