War on Drugs and the African-American Community (C-SPAN)

The Institute of the Black World 21st Century held a forum on the impact of the policies of the “War on Drugs” on the African-American community. Speakers included Jesse Jackson and Representative John Conyers (D-MI). President Nixon used the term “War on Drugs” to promote his drug control initiatives, and subsequent administrations have continued variations of those polices.
