A personal reflection on the pilgrimage to honor the mother of Malcolm X in her birthplace of La Digue, Grenada.

On May 19, 2025 — the birthday of Malcolm X — the Institute of the Black World 21st Century (IBW, IBW21) led a historic pilgrimage to Grenada to honor Louise Langdon Little, the mother of Malcolm X, at the very site of her birth in La Digue.

In this reflection, Dr. Ron Daniels, President of IBW, shares what made this initiative one of the most powerful milestones of his life’s work. From ceremony highlights to a heartfelt appeal, this video reflects the spirit of Pan-African remembrance and the ongoing effort to build the Louise Langdon Little Memorial Site in Grenada.
