Last December, thousands of protesters crowded onto New York City’s streets to march against police brutality in America. The protest, a part of the #BlackLivesMatter movement sparked by the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, was one of many that have occurred across the country. Filmmakers Jared Rosenthal and Luca Repola were on hand to capture the powerful mood of the day. In this short documentary, they cut together a series of vignettes from within the crowd.

Rosenthal produced this documentary with itsbongoboy, a Manhattan-based production company. Rahul Sharma was the cinematographer. Additional footage was filmed by Luca Silveira. The song that accompanies the footage is “Lindisfarne,” provided courtesy of Moses Sumney. The score was created by Xander Rodzinski.
